The torrential rains and flooding that have affected Pakistan in recent weeks continue, with an estimated 1,600 dead and 17.2 million affected. Some 1.5 million people are now homeless. The United Church of Christ issued a special disaster appeal seeking $300,000 to support the emergency relief If you would like to contribute to the UCC’s effort, please make a check out to Plymouth Church and designate for Pakistani Flood Relief. All money received will be sent on to the UCC.

This group is for early morning people who enjoy good fellowship at breakfast in a private dining room. There are no planned programs but great conversation. No reservations are needed. Our All-Church Pot-Luck Picnic is next week, September 12, at 5:30 p.m. This year we will gather at Overlook Park at Clinton Lake. This location is easy to get to. Travel West on Clinton Parkway until you reach Clinton Lake. Turn right and then turn left. Go past the visitor’s center. Signs will direct you to the party. We have reserved Shelter 001 and 002.
