The Project Management Committee wants your input on our sanctuary renovation.

Over the past 13 months, considerable progress has been made on our sanctuary renovation to better serve Plymouth’s mission of uniting for the worship of God and the service of all. Working with Plymouth’s Church Council, the Project Management Committee has commissioned our new pipe organ, received designs for improved acoustics including an accessible choir loft, and addressed many historical preservation concerns.

We are in the chancel design process. After congregational input and responsive design work by our architects, the Project Management Committee has recommended an approach that creates better accessibility and more flexible space for worship leadership.

Now we are asking for your feedback at this critical juncture with this anonymous survey.

We also continue to welcome your questions asked online or in person. Your voice matters! The Project Management Committee has decision-making responsibility as charged by the Church Council. Final approval will be given by the Church Council.

Because architectural drawings can be difficult to understand, and because site line changes are one of the objectives, Project Management Committee members constructed a platform that allows congregants to better visualize the recommended design. The temporary wooden platform has been in place since July 20.

This survey may also be completed via paper if preferred. Paper surveys are available at Plymouth Church or downloadable for printing here:

Surveys received by September 1, 2025 will be compiled and results shared with the congregation as soon as possible. The Project Management Committee values every voice in our congregation as we complete this important work together.
