Giving at Plymouth Church

Every gift here is an act of worship and an act of service. We are building something together, for the worship of God and the service of all.

Plymouth is a Christian community united for the worship of God and the service of all. Our children’s and youth ministries are thriving, our congregational care programs and small group communities are growing, and our music and fine arts programs are among the finest in the region. We are grateful for every person whose generosity makes this possible.

Giving is a spiritual practice, not an obligation. When we give, something shifts in us. We loosen our grip on scarcity and find ourselves more deeply rooted in the community we are building together. Whatever your giving looks like right now, you are welcome here.

Making an Annual Commitment

Children tumbling into Sunday school. A youth group that shows up and leads. Pastoral care that finds you when you need it. Choral music that stops you cold. Small groups that become the people you call first. This is worship and service made visible, and none of it happens without people who say, Yes, I’m in and back it up.

An annual commitment is your way to say just that. What makes your commitment powerful isn’t the amount; it’s the intention behind it, returned to week after week, until generosity stops being a decision you make and starts being a person you’re becoming.

Plymouth’s annual operating budget is roughly $1 million. Your stated commitment helps us to plan well for the coming year. If life circumstances change, you can always adjust your amount—just reach out to our Accountant, Melissa Praderio [link to Melissa’s email].

If you’re setting up a recurring gift through Vanco and haven’t yet filled out a commitment form, please do. It makes an enormous difference for our ministry planning.

Additional Giving Opportunities

Enter In: Renewing Our Historic Sanctuary

For generations, this sanctuary has been the place where Plymouth gathers to worship and to be sent back out into the world. The Enter In campaign is investing in its restoration, honoring what has been given to us and preparing it for the generations who will worship and serve here long after us. The goal of this campaign is twofold: to enhance the beauty of the sanctuary with a new organ, and to improve the accessibility of the space so that everyone may participate fully in worship. Gifts to Enter In are separate from your annual commitment and go directly toward this sacred work.

Christmas & Easter Special Offerings

Twice a year, at Christmas and at Easter, Plymouth takes up a special offering that goes entirely beyond these walls to organizations doing worthwhile work in the community. These are not line items in the operating budget. These are the congregation saying together, our worship compels us toward the service of all, and our abundance belongs to the world. Each offering is designated in advance, so you will always know where your gift is going.

The Plymouth Endowment

The Endowment is Plymouth’s long game. It exists because people who loved this church looked far down the road and wanted what they had built here to endure — the worship, the community, the service to this city and beyond. Gifts to the Endowment through a bequest, a beneficiary designation, or other planned giving become part of the foundation itself.

If you have been part of Plymouth for a while and find yourself thinking about legacy, we would love to have a conversation about what you want to build for future generations.
