Plymouth Members & Friends,
Here is an update from our mission partner Head Start (the two classrooms that use our south church facility). Staffing has been a challenge for early childhood education centers nationwide and now it is a major trial in our local Head Start community. Please pray for our Head Start families & staff in this season. In the summer (hopefully even in May) we will keep you updated about ways that Plymouth members can support our Head Start school as they hire and train new staff. We are in close conversation supporting the Head Start leadership team. We trust their resources and wisdom in this difficult time.
Dear Head Start Parents,
ECKAN Head Start is committed to providing high quality services for children and their families. Unfortunately, we are unable to recruit and hire enough qualified staff to provide those services at this time. Therefore, we are forced to end services for you and your families at this time. We will continue to advertise for staff and hope to hire enough staff to reopen classes; however, it is unlikely that will happen for the rest of this 2022-23 program year. If you know of anyone who would be interested in working for Head Start, please refer them to the eckan.org website to apply under the careers icon at the very bottom of the page.
