Just Food Drive for Local Schools

Our focus is the Just Food Classroom Cupboard program where snacks are placed out in 14 local schools so kids can take them home for after school treats. 


Donation barrels will be located at the north and south entrances of Plymouth Church starting Sunday, July 27 through early September.

MOST NEEDED ITEMS:


1. Whole Grains

Whole grain crackers (e.g., Triscuits, Wheat Thins), Granola bars (look for low sugar, whole oats-based), Rice cakes, Popcorn (plain or lightly salted, air-popped), Dry cereal (whole grain, low sugar, individual packs)


2. Proteins

Nut butters (individual packets of peanut or almond butter), Trail mix, Roasted chickpeas or edamame, Shelf-stable cheese crisps or sticks, Beef or turkey jerky, Sunflower or pumpkin seeds


3. Fruits

Dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries, apricots)

Unsweetened applesauce cups or pouches, Fruit leather, Dehydrated fruit chips (banana, apple, mango, etc.), Freeze-dried fruits (strawberries, blueberries, etc.)


4. Vegetables

Veggie chips (e.g., kale, beet, or sweet potato chips), Dehydrated snap peas or green beans, Shelf-stable hummus (individual cups or squeeze packs)


5. Dairy Alternatives & Other Additions

Shelf-stable milk boxes (dairy or non-dairy like almond/soy milk), Yogurt-covered raisins (in moderation due to sugar), Nutrient-fortified snack bars (with calcium, iron, or fiber)
