It is moderated by Rev. Caroline Dean of Plymouth Congregational Church. Panelists: Stephanie Morales Macedo (Producer, Liberate LFK short film), Dawna Raehpour (Free Mom Hugs of Kansas), Gryffin and Becky Eason (community members), and Derrick Hurst (Rainbow Kids and Families).


Over 30,000 conservative, Christian mothers call themselves "mama bears" for ferociously fighting for their children's civil rights and the entire LGBTQ+ community. This brand new documentary premiering at SXSW explores the journeys of two mama bears and a young lesbian whose struggle for self-acceptance exemplifies why the mama bears movement is vitally important.
